Jim French was an aboriginal shearer and button accordion player from Moree. He was one of a number of aboriginal musicians from this area. He was recorded extensively by Chris Sullivan and Mark Rummery. Recordings of 11 interviews can be found in the Chris Sullivan Collection, National Library of Australia.
