Ernie Goodman, Mudgee, NSW provided details of some of the Australian tunes in this archive, as described by John Meredith.

"Ernie Goodman ... was born in the Mudgee district in 1890. Bruce Kurtz and Reg Kurtz recorded over twenty tunes played by the old man on the button accordion, and kindly gave me a copy of their tape ... As a lad he learnt a number of tunes from his father" -- J Meredith, R Covell, P Brown, Folk Songs of Australia Vol 2, UNSW Press, 1987, p30.

There are photos and recordings of him in the National Library of Australia in Canberra, search the NLA catalog for "Ernie Goodman".
