Frank Creenaune
Frank Creenaune, Gilgandra, NSW provided details of some of the Australian tunes in this archive, as described by John Meredith.
"Frank Creenaune, born in 1916, is a retired builder now living in Gilgandra. He grew up near Baradine, in the Pilliga Scrub ... I played for a dance at the Cumbril Hall, at Baradine when the musician ... used to go for supper, I used to play old time waltzes when I was twelve ... he played the accordion ... and he picked up his tunes and songs at the wild dances at Cumbil." -- (adapted from) J Meredith, R Covell, P Brown, Folk Songs of Australia Vol 2, UNSW Press, 1987, p140-41.
