Ray Simpson, Melbourne, Vic. provided details of some of the Australian tunes in this archive, and recorded some tunes collected in the Nariel Valley.

Ray and Ian Simpson form part of the extended Klippel family (see Con Klippel & Keith Klippel) of musicians that first settled in the Nariel Valley in the 1850s. They were sons of Neville Simpson, grandsons of Charlie Ordish, who married into the family during the 20th century, and Great Great Grandsons of Con Klippel (1839-1877).

Ray plays button accordion.
