Ivy Fernando

One of two aboriginal sisters from Moree, daughters of Herb Troutman. Both Ivy and her sister Rita Croaker were accomplished button accordion players. Their father Herb Troutman was born in Germany, played an accordion and taught his daughters to play.

Ivy was recorded by Chris Sullivan and Mark Rummery. A number of recording can be found in the Chris Sullivan folklore collection, National Library of Australia.
