Alan Semmons, Sedgwick, Vic, provided details of some of the Australian tunes in this archive.

  • John Meredith in January 1986, [1] Semmons speaks of old time dances at Sedgewick, his family and background, father discovering double pink Eriostemon (wax flower, Eriostemon verrucosis var. J. Semmons) named after his father who preserved the plant; his accordion playing at dances; dances; learning the tunes he plays.

NB the difference in spelling: Meredith refers to Alan Semmons, and Peter Ellis uses Semmens. They both play accordion and lived in Sedgewick Vic.

There is a photo of him in Peter Ellis, "The Waltz, The Polka and All Kinds of Dance Music", 2007.
