Barb Scott is a Melbourne based whistle player, who has been playing Irish and Balkan tunes for 40+ years, provided details of some of the Australian tunes in this archive.

With her partner at the time, John Ross, they formed the "Flying Pieman Bush Band" (in 1976 or thereabouts) with dance caller Rowan Webb (concertina). Other members over the years included Ian Harbeck (fiddle), Nick Mercer (concertina), Peter Anderson (accordion), Mike O'Rourke (fiddle/voice), Dave Rackham (mandolin) and Mark Noke (side-drum).

In the mid-'80s, her foray into Balkan music was also concentrated on dance music and saw the formation of bands Kavalcade & Cigano in which authentic Balkan instruments were used (kavals, tambura, tsouras, tapan).
