Colin McJannett (1946 - 2017), lived in Canberra from the 1970's till his death in 2017. Colin McJannett provided details of some of the Australian tunes in this archive.

He was a long time member of Reel Tradition, and headed up the National Folk Festival's move to a permanent home in Canberra. He played banjo and piano accordion. He collected folkloric material in the 70's and 80's, and notably collected Harry Cotter of Binalong NSW. Colin had a strong interest in Australian War history and in the labor movement.
