George Davis, Mudgee, NSW provided details of some of the Australian tunes in this archive, as recorded in the John Meredith Collection.

"George Davis was quite sprightly when recorded (when he was seventy-eight) and played (on a button accordion) all his tunes, most of which he learned in the Hargraves district from 1890 onwards, in brisk dance tempo"." -- (adapted from) J Meredith, H Anderson, Folk Songs of Australia Vol 1, UNSW Press, 1967, p219.

There is a recording of Fred Holland, Tom Blackman, Mick Brennan, Vince Holland and George Davis interviewed by John Meredith in the National Library of Australia in Canberra. He plays accordion.
