John Warn, (1920-2001) Crooked Corner, NSW, provided details of some of the Australian tunes in this archive, as recorded by John Meredith.

John was recorded as part of the 'Crooked Corner Band', which at that time comprised himself playing a massive four row button accordion, Bill Painter on mouth organ and his son Peter Painter on tenor banjo. -- (adapted from) J Meredith, R Covell, P Brown, Folk Songs of Australia Vol 2, UNSW Press, 1987, p61-5
