John Warn, (1920-2001) Crooked Corner, NSW, provided details of some of the Australian tunes in this archive, as described by John Meredith, and also collected by Chris Sullivan. Crooked Corner is near Crookwell, NSW.

John was recorded as part of the 'Crooked Corner Band', which at that time comprised himself playing a massive four row button accordion, Bill Painter on mouth organ and his son Peter Painter on tenor banjo. -- (adapted from) J Meredith, R Covell, P Brown, Folk Songs of Australia Vol 2, UNSW Press, 1987, p61-5
