N:Judy Callaghan is also known as 'Barney Brallaghan' or 'Blewitt's Jig'.
N:The tune was written by Jonathan Blewitt, for a dance, somewhere between 1811 and 1814.
N:It came to be associated with a series of comic songs about Barney Brallaghan courting Judy Callaghan.
N:The distinctive C part was intended to align with a series of stamps within the dance.
