X:43 T:Bill Hohn's Schottis No 1 % NFF Book 2007 S:collected from Bill Hohn, Pittsworth, Qld S:collected by Mark Schuster and Maria Zann N:Yes - I collected both Bill Hohn's and Bill Staatz's tunes. Both were N:great players (on mainly double and triple row accordions). Bill N:Staatz hailed from the Lockyer (where he had an equally talented N:brother, Alf). For many years Bill worked at the Southern Cross N:Foundry in Toowoomba. I have many tapes of both Alf, but less so Bill. N:They had many great old dance tunes. Bill Hohn's playing was nothing N:short of briiliant - terrific rhythm and great cross-rowing with use of N:chords. His daughters often joined on violin and guitar. Many locals N:still regard him as a wonderful player. Mark Schuster, Jan 07. N:Bill & Bert Hohn were brothers O:Australia, Qld, Toowoomba R:Schottische M:4/4 L:1/8 K:G |:"G"g2d>BG2d>g|"D"f>e d>ef2f2|f>e d>e f>e d>F|1"G"G>g d>BG2G2:|2"G" G>g d>BG2A2|| "G"B2(3BBB B2B2|G>B c>d e>d c>B|"D"A2(3AAA A2A2|F>A B>c f>e d>c| "G"B2(3BBB B2B2|G>B c>d "D"e>d c>B|F>A B>c f>e d>c|"G"G>g d>B G4||
